Description

MSM is short for Methyl Sulfonyl Methane, an organically bound sulfur. This mineral can be found in various forms but MSM is a special dietary sulfur that is essential for our health. The organic sulfur provides better cooperation with other vitamins and nutrients such as vitamins C, A, D, E, Q 10 and all B vitamins, amino acids, selenium, calcium, magnesium and many other minerals. In short MSM is absolutely essential for a healthy and vital body and reduces allergic reactions in a wide range of allergies.

What is MSM?

A water-soluble substance found in all life on earth, such as: plants, animals, humans, fish and algae. Sulfonyl stands for sulfur. Normally, we should get MSM in with our diet. It is naturally found in small amounts in fresh fruits and vegetables. Unfortunately, preparation of food causes the sulfur in our diet to be lost. In addition, as age increases, the amount of (MSM) sulfur in the body declines. A long-term sulfur deficiency can have negative effects on important body functions. You can prevent this by adding MSM to your dietary regimen.

Effects of MSM

The sulfur contained in MSM is essential for a wide range of body functions. It is a component of important amino acids and virtually all proteins. For example, the synthesis of collagen, essential for the structure of connective tissue (skin) and cartilage depends heavily on sufficient sulfur. Sulfur provides the disulfide bonds that provide structure and elasticity. This is why you often find MSM in supplements with glucosamine and in supplements or creams for the skin.

MSM: supportive for skin, hair and nails

MSM allows skin cells to better connect with each other due to the presence of sufficient sulfur-containing collagen fibers. This is why MSM is regularly added to formulas to improve the condition of skin, hair and nails. This is because sulfur stimulates the production of collagen. A lack of MSM, for example, can cause your skin to become less elastic and age faster. Adding MSM to your diet can therefore have a positive effect on the condition of your skin, hair and nails.

Sulfur-containing foods

Sulfur is mainly found in fruits and vegetables and mainly in the following foods:

Cabbages such as kale, cauliflower, broccoli and Brussels sprouts. Vegetables such as onion, garlic, chives and leeks.
Eggs are rich in cysteine, one of the best sources of sulfur.
Also, watercress, radishes and nuts are sources of sulfur.
