Description

What are BCAAs

There is evidence that a particular group of amino acids may contribute to faster recovery of muscle strength after heavy strength training. These are the branched chain amino acids (BCAA): leucine, isoleucine and valine. These three essential amino acids are absorbed into the body just a little faster than other amino acids and together make up 40% to 50% of the daily requirement of essential amino acids. Most amino acids are broken down in the liver but these amino acids do their work in muscle and fat tissue. During exercise, these amino acids are converted into energy.

How to get these in.

Branched chain amino acids you get by eating protein-rich foods. Taking extra BCAAs could delay fatigue, improve your training performance and promote recovery, according to some scientific studies. This is true in both strength and endurance sports. In addition, it is also claimed that BCAAs can increase muscle mass. Although there is increasing evidence that BCAAs help recovery.
